COACHING
Coaching is about giving you the space to think for yourself. You can bring any issues that are important to you or that you are currently finding difficult or challenging. As your coach I will act as your thinking partner, listening and asking questions to help guide and challenge your thinking and providing structure to the coaching session. I will help you identify and overcome assumptions you hold that might be limiting you or identify strategies and practical ways you can try to move forward. People leave coaching sessions with new realisations, a different view on an issue or a plan of action. It is my job to support you to achieve your goals.
Helping people get more from their professional lives and organisations get more from their people
I have over 5 years of experience coaching senior leaders, managers and individuals in both the public and private sector.
Typical areas of focus include:
career coaching
confidence issues/ imposter syndrome
leadership style
working in teams
stakeholder management
I have expertise in organisational leadership, with over 25 years experience. This allows me to deliver coaching with real depth, empathy and challenge.
As a qualified Time to Think coach I can incorporate thinking sessions into coaching when appropriate. Time to Think is about creating a Thinking Environment where the coach acts as a thinking partner and does not interrupt. It’s based on the premise that the quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first. In a true Thinking Environment people think for themselves with rigour, imagination and courage.
Values can sometimes be highly relevant to informing your thinking. I’m experienced in helping clients identify their core values and how they can align these to their working life.
EXECUTIVE COACHING
NEURODIVERGENT COACHING
Helping people flourish and realise hopes, strengths and ambitions in the workplace
I’m passionate about the impact coaching can have for anyone, but particularly neurodivergent individuals, allowing you to move closer to achieving full potential within the workplace and realise your strengths, hopes and ambitions. It can help you effect positive change and flourish in the working environment.
I’m an experienced neurodivergence coach. Because coaching is a one-to-one activity, it’s all about you as an individual and as such is tailored to you. It’s absolutely not about changing who you are but enabling you to gain self knowledge, skills, strategies and a realisation of your abilities that can allow you to gain greater fulfilment in the workplace.
I’ve seen first hand the difficulties faced in trying to operate in a working environment set up for neurotypical ways of working and the stress that can be associated with trying to build effective working relationships.
Some of the common topics brought to coaching by neurodivergent clients are:
concentration and distractions
memory
organisation
self care
working relationships
wellbeing and confidence
considering when it might be safe to unmask
Whatever you want to focus on, coaching can help you work out the right support to make working more manageable and potentially allow you to gain greater fulfilment.
I’ve also seen first hand how many neurodivergent clients do not know how best to ulitilise their key strengths in the workplace. Sometimes people have had such negative experiences they find it difficult to focus on what they are good at. Coaching can help you focus on your strengths and your core values, understand what these mean in terms of gaining fulfilment at work and help you build strategies for incorporating them into your current role or future career path.
It’s important to point out that I will be coaching you as a whole person and whatever topics you bring, not focusing solely on neurodivergence. The topics are up to you. I will be guided by you and will work as your thinking partner to bring clarity, self knowledge, and ideas for practical support to help you flourish in the workplace.
INDIVIDUAL COACHING
Helping people gain lasting fulfillment in their lives, relationships and careers
I’m experienced at coaching individuals who need space and time to think through whatever issues life is throwing at them.
Typical areas of focus include:
coping with life changes such as retirement or empty-nest syndrome
deciding on significant life shifts
thinking through confidence issues.
It can also be helpful to consider your values and how living in alignment with them can increase confidence and reduce stress. Plus focusing on your strengths can be liberating and give you new insight.
Having a thinking partner to listen to you in a safe space and with no judgement can really help you to think more clearly.
Whatever the topics or issues you want to think about, coaching gives you much needed quality time to bring greater clarity.
